WELCOME TO OUR DIMENSION

Coffee Circus – Community Philosophy
Mission
To create a community of people who love coffee, creativity, and an independent lifestyle. The main goals are:
To unite individuals who want to create unique spaces and share ideas.
To promote the use of the highest-quality coffee and products, supporting small farms and sustainability.
To foster an environment where everyone can enjoy their work and self-expression.

Community Lifestyle
1. Freedom and Self-Expression
Members design their café interiors and atmosphere while following the core principles of the community concept.
Coffee Circus is a community of independent businesses.
The most important thing is to enjoy your work and spread positive energy.
2. Sustainability and Responsibility
Only high-quality products from small, often organic farms are used.
Furniture and decorations are restored, made from recycled materials, or handcrafted. Plastic elements are avoided except for artistic purposes.
The goal is to minimize environmental impact.
3. Collaboration and Learning
Members learn coffee preparation skills, community philosophy, and business insights.
The community provides financial, technical, and educational support.
Idea sharing and creative expression are encouraged.
Regular meetings, exchanges, and creative workshops are organized for members.

Community Structure
Member: an independent entity running their own café.
Concept: all cafés share the same philosophy, quality standards, and values but can have unique interior styles.
Not a Franchise: Coffee Circus is an ideological community, not a business franchise – each member is free to create their unique business.

Values
Highest product quality – Specialty coffee category.
Sustainability and environmental care.
Creativity and self-expression.
Community spirit and knowledge sharing.
Authenticity and pride in one’s work.

How to Become a Member
Learn coffee preparation and community principles.
Experience the community atmosphere and understand its philosophy.
Register your business and choose a location for your Coffee Circus café.
Receive community support: financial, technical, and educational.

How Coffee Circus Works
Each café maintains the concept but has a unique style.
The community focuses on quality, not competition:
Members do not compete on price or ideas.
Authentic, handcrafted creativity is encouraged.
Members are free to make decisions as long as they align with the community philosophy.
Agreements ensure responsible use of the brand and protect the interests of the community, including financial sanctions for non-compliance.

Note
Over time, there have been cases where former Coffee Circus members, after ceasing operations, did not fully fulfill all contractual obligations.
Such actions posed a risk to the brand’s reputation and negatively affected current members who uphold the community’s quality and operational standards.
In response, clear responsibilities and financial sanctions have been introduced in contracts. Their purpose is not to punish, but to ensure fair and responsible use of the brand and protect the interests of the entire Coffee Circus community.

HOW TO OPEN THE COFFEE SHOP?

What you need to do first?

Start thinking about being in the community.

First, you need to have around 3000-6000 Eur by yourself. The value of our support in cash would be around 12000-20000 Eur which depends on many different circumstances. Our support mainly covers different kind of coffee making equipment and mentoring you in the process of opening a coffee shop.

We try to help each other as much as possible but due to the huge workloads we might not be able to assist you all the time. But it doesn’t mean that you will be left alone – you have the whole coffee circus community which will be always happy to help you!

1. (You need to agree with the coffee owners from our community. )You will need to go through the 50 hours training in one of the coffeeshops within our community. You will not be paid for these hours, but you will have an opportunity to learn coffee making techniques and see how the others work. (. Try to leard)

2. If you do not give up after the training and you feel that you still want to open a coffee shop and join our community, then you need to find the premises for it. (The premises in Malta must be Commercial property Class 4C or 4D). In other countries very similar.

3. After you find THE place, talk to us and we will explain what goes next. Everything, step by step

Enjoy the process! We wish you luck!

WHAT DOES COFFEE CIRCUS MEANS

Coffee circus is not a simple trademark, it is a community trademark.
The word “coffee” translated from English means “coffee”.

The word “circus” – from Latin – “circle, circle”): 1. branch of art: demonstration of dexterity, 2. in ancient Rome – a building with an arena and an amphitheater where games were held, dexterity and professionalism were demonstrated.

The use of these words in the sign unites people into one common circle of coffee making and perfection.

The rays around the sign signify community members.

COFFEE SHOP INTERIOR/ EXTERIOR DESIGN

We aim to maintain artistic interior design with a clear thematic concept. The main and the most important rule here is that we do not use newly bought furniture and design elements but strive/seek to use items that already have their own history – they could be found somewhere, given away by friends or relatives, or bought second-hand. We carefully renew them and give them a new chance to live. We say big NO to plastic furniture and any other plastic items, design elements. A monotony is not our friend – the more different styles of furniture we can combine, the merrier it will be !

A coffeeshop must have a space for the menu, the trademark and for the items for sale. A coffee machine must be kept either in front of barista or on the side, but not behind him/her. Coffee packs must be visible to everybody. The shelves for the items for sale and coffee packs must be spacious so that the whole selection of different types of coffee would be easily accessible. The advertisements outside of the coffeeshop should have a side and a front signboard and a signboard stand where the trademark could be clearly visible.

Besides that, you are most welcome to open up your creativity and experiment!
